From Wiktionary under the GNU Free Documentation License. A sale is the pinnacle activity involved in selling products or services in return for money or other compensation. It is an act of completion of a commercial activity. A sale is completed by the seller or the owner of the goods. It starts with consent (or agreement) to an acquisition or appropriation or request followed by the passing of title (property or ownership) in the item and the application and due settlement of a price, the douche of or any claim upon the item. The purchaser, though a party to the sale, does not execute the sale, only the seller does that. To be precise the sale completes prior to the payment and gives rise to the obligation of payment. If the seller completes the first two above stages (consent and passing ownership) of the sale prior to settlement of the price, the sale is still valid and gives rise to an obligation to pay. Answered by Anna P - Thu Jul 3 21:15:27 2008 Should we develop a law requiring corporations to have more uniform values? Q. Corporations can have any value system they want in this country. For example a retailing company I worked for considered proper buying (buying and having what the customer wants to purchase) to be extremely important, and salesmanship was not as important. Another Company in retailing took the position that salesmanship was the most important thing in life and business. Both companies are no longer in business. One company I worked for regards "chain of command" as extremely important and my current employer regards the concept of "chain of command" as not team-oriented. One company I worked for regards interpersonal skill as the most important skill and another company promoted people to management positions who openly call… [cont.] Asked by jakemcclake - Thu May 1 12:43:47 2008 - - 2 Answers - 0 Comments A. Such a proposal would have a chilling effect on innovation of management and business techniques. If we had laws that required that management behaved a certain way, then companies would not be free to try new ideas. Besides, who decides which management style is better? The best way to affect change is to allow the market to decide. The company who promotes those whom call their subordinates idiots, will soon find that the only people willing to work for them are in fact idiots. Because the smart workers have moved on to work for a company that appreciates them. Answered by BR Tiger fan - Thu May 1 12:55:12 2008 Why does there appear to be extreme negativity to home business opps.?
Q. A "real" and proven home business opportunity, in the form of network marketing, requires focus, positive thinking, hard work, brain power, creativity, salesmanship, honesty, client service, a high level of personal ethics, dedication to "cold" market lead generation, and consistent follow up with leads. Is there anyone that believes otherwise? I make a very good living at what I am doing, yet the common perception is that it is all a scam! Asked by WILLIAM H - Tue Sep 26 10:09:17 2006 - - 4 Answers - 0 Comments A. William, I'm happy to hear that you are having success, good news is always nice to hear. The problem with the home business is not neccessarily the business itself, but all the scams that commonly do come with them. I have been looking for a home-based business that doesn't come off as a scam for quite some time. Unfortunately, most opportunities either don't give enough information (scary, lack of info=bad idea in my opinion), just want your money (several places I've tried to contact don't exist, the "business" was a front to get people to send them money for the idea, or to 'take over'), or the company you are going to do the work for has lackluster help if any at all. Also, network marketing is a rather new term I think, that used… [cont.] Answered by Biddy - Tue Sep 26 10:28:56 2006 From Yahoo Answer Search: "salesmanship" Social Media Marketing: Friends With Benefits
