I'm in my mid thirties now and find myself pulling away a bit. My mom has been diagnosed with chronic depression within the past five years. She was hospitalized at one point. Now she is doing much better, with a support group, volunteer work, and antidepressants. However, she is forgetful. I think it's a combination of her medication, her age (close to sixty), and her lack of concentration. I don't understand why she is still on meds but drs tell her that she will be long term. I'm not sure if she has a real memory problem but she is forgetful. It's annoying to me and I focus on it for some reason. Please help? Q. I am working with a group of very advanced 2nd graders...? We are in a reading group that is focusing on how to read aloud with expression, excitement, etc! The teacher and I (the volunteering parent in charge of the group) were thinking that we would like to have the girls (there are four of them) read parts. Do you have any ideas for a play that could easily be adapted for this? Do you know of a play written for kids? Any ideas of a book that could easily be adapted into a play (maybe even by the kids themselves), containing four, equal (girly?) characters? Thanks. Thanks for the great ideas. I really like the idea of going outside standard roles and writing the play on their own. Asked by Jaya Bhagavan A.R.T. - Tue Sep 23 15:50:15 2008 - - 8 Answers - 0 Comments A. Why don't you get them to write their own play together? They would know exactly how to use expression then.
