What is the law on 'Advertise Here' advertising boards?
Q. Can I put up an advertising board, one of those 'Advertise Here' boards at the bottom of my garden? The garden is about 2m from from an A road slip road where cars are slowing down to some traffic lights. Generally when the lights are at red, cars back up along the slip road at the back of my garden. Now, to earn some extra income, I'm wondering can I put up one of those 'Advertise Here' boards, or am I going to get sued by the first car crash?

A. Contact your local council planning department they will be able to advise you. I would imagine you will require planning permission, you may well get objections from neighbours if you are going to cause an eyesore.

Is there a law regarding political advertising by a corporation towards its employees?
Q. I have a feeling its ok to do this, but if anyone has proof otherwise, I'd like to know. Basically it involves a company posting a large poster meant to gather support for a ballot resolution that would greatly benefit the company. The poster is displayed in the employee break room.
Asked by bluecollaraddict - Wed Mar 12 08:15:15 2008 - - 1 Answers - 0 Comments
A. there maybe a subtle form of discrimination towards the employees boundaries. why the break room. that is for social. if the poster stated it might benefit the company instead of would. it may lean towards it being ok or accepted. it may also be about company loyalty which cannot be that bad... the competion must be very fierce

What are the laws for advertising to children in a school?
Q. I have heard it is against the law to advertise services, in this case a karate school, directly to children by a flier at school? Is this true and if so what are the rules?
Asked by Carson B - Mon Sep 22 16:54:39 2008 - - 2 Answers - 0 Comments
A. It isn't against the law but may be against the policy of the individual school as allowing you to distribute your fliers in their school will be seen as the school endorsing your program.

Why aren't lawyers advertising class action law suit against Trans Union?
Q. Why is it not widely known that Trans Union has a class action law suit against them that lets people get 6 months credit protection and credit report for free? Is it because lawyers don't want the public to know, so they can get as much money left over as possible? That does not seem ethical. https://www.listclassacti on.com But this involves anyone who ever had a credit card or loans. I heard it's up to 120million people at least.

Q. Is it good for a law firm specializing in family and child law to advertise in sites like multiply or facebook? or will that lessen credibility? would you hire a lawyer from there?

A. At one time, advertising was considered outsidde the pale for law firms, but today, the canons of the ABA allow it. There are more productive sources of business than multiply or facebook, however. One of the best ideas, for instance, is free seminars in different locales. Promote to family and child welfare specialists in the public sector, who will hand out your flyers to their clients. There's a pretty good (free) source of creative marketing ideas that a lot of professionalss--doctors, dentists, lawyers, CPAs, etc.-- use. It's a blog on direct marketing. Here is their site.

European countries are all 18 and Latin american countries are 18 but not enforced, as long as you have money in Latin America you can get alcohol. Taiwan might be 16 as China is 16.

Lawyers... yes, well-paid, if you can fit in all those previous case studies well enuf in your head. Yes... you can find it in the book, but you have to remember it first, right?! Not to mention expensive tuition fees!! Advertising... how's your creativity? R u the kind of person that everytime seeing new stuff, already thinking of how to promote it?
